Attendees will hear inspiring talks from researchers at different career stages and take part in discussions on a wide range of topics. \nGiven the limited space at Corpus Christi College\, seats will be allocated on a first-come\, first-served basis. For UK-based attendees traveling from outside Cambridge\, we are happy to contribute up to £80 per person towards the cost of 2nd class train or bus tickets. Selected speakers traveling from outside Cambridge are eligible for full reimbursement of travel and accommodation costs. To receive reimbursement\, participants must confirm their attendance and submit a copy of their travel receipt. SUMMARY:CONNECTS-UK Launch event
DESCRIPTION:CONNECTS-UK took places on the 10th April 2024 at 17.30 BST (UK time) at Imperial College London (Exhibition Road SW7 2AZ. Room 200 – City and Guilds Building) and on-line. \nRead the press release of the event here and know the speakers who participated in this event.   \n\n\n\nCONNECTS-UK is a collaborative project conceptualised in 2022 by the scientific diasporas of Finland\, France\, Italy\, Poland\, Portugal\, Netherlands\, and Spain in the UK\, together with Native Scientists\,   with the main goal to strengthen EU-UK scientific collaboration and research mobility. This project\, funded by the European Union\, will run until the end of 2026\, an optimum timeframe following the UK successfully re-joining Horizon Europe. This event served to present the activities and objectives of CONNECTS-UK to EU researchers in the UK\, as well as to key stakeholders such as scientific attachés\, universities\, students\, journalists\, schools\, and all those interested in the project.  The afternoon offered also an opportunity to listen to prestigious researchers\, and engage with the CONNECTS -UK partners and sponsors. A networking reception was offered after the event. As space in the auditorium of Imperial College is limited\, the places were reserved on a first come\, first served basis. For those travelling from outside London\, we will contribute to the cost of travel (bus\, train\, etc. tickets) with up to 60 GBP per person (up to 100 people\, selected on a first come\, first served basis). Please note that those requesting the reimbursement will have to keep a copy of the purchase ticket.
